NEW LAMPS IN THE COLLECTION

EXCEPTIONAL PLUME & ATWOOD DOUBLE EMBOSSED & CAST STUDENT LAMP
This is an Exceptional Elaborately-Ornate Design Double Student Lamp. See "Student Lamps of the Victorian Era" by Miller & Solverson for an almost identical Double Student Lamp, pg.62, fig.10. Miller identifies his lamp as an Edward Miller & Company but my lamp is very slightly different in the shape and design of the Oil Reserve Tank and it came with Plume & Atwood Burners and a Carry Loop that is like those on the Plume & Atwood Lamps, so it is my opinion that my lamp is by Plume & Atwood. Many of the component parts are Heavy Cast Brass with a very heavy and finely detailed Floral Embossed Pattern. The base of the Lamp is Heavy Cast Solid Brass as are the Finals, the Font Drops, and the Oil Reserve Lid with Final. The Lamp is shown here with Gold Spatter Bristol Straight Ribbed Shades as is the one in Millers Book. This is possibly the best Double Student Lamp I have ever owned with the exception only of some of the Harvard Student Lamps.
